I fell in love with the antique gold/bronze nail head trim of the Crate & Barrel headboard so I initially bought individual nail heads to hammer in.
After 15 broken nail heads, a crooked line getting more and more crooked, tears, cursing, two glasses of wine, and two hours later, I gave up and bought the silver nailhead trim. It took all of three minutes to hammer it on. You only hammer in every 10 nail heads. The rest are “dummy” nail heads.
There you have it! An easy, DIY tutorial on a Crate and Barrel inspired headboard that costs pennies on the dollar!
