Today I’m going to share some of our honeymoon pictures from Rome, Italy. I fell in love with Rome. It almost had the energy of New York City with an old world charm. I could live there happily. We lost the memory card we took our pictures in Italy (still makes me sad), but thankfully I was able to salvage these from my Snapfish account and B’s Facebook account.

I was quite amused by these tiny cars. “Just Married” came to mind!
I snapped this picture while our cab driver looked at a map to find our apartment. I still think it was a ploy to add more time to his meter (and more Euros.) 100 Euros for that roundabout trip!

Apparently bread sells out fast in Rome.
The first thing we did after we dropped off our luggage at our apartment was walk around Rome.

Bridge over the Tiber River leading to the Vatican City.

Castel San Angelo is behind me, former Vatican “bank” and escape destination for Popes in ages past.
Being the Catholics that we are, of course one of our first stops was Vatican City.

Pope Benedict XVI was addressing the youth of Spain in St. Peter’s Square when we arrived.
The reason we rushed to Vatican City, besides it being a 2 minute walk from our apartment, was because it was the only day we would get a chance at seeing Rome’s bishop address the masses that week. We were pretty excited!
We spent a week in Rome, so there are many more pictures to come over the next few weeks. Stay tuned!
Linking up with Rachel.

I think I need to give Rome another chance. I didn’t love it. But then again it was so hot when I was there and all I wanted was ICE!

My husband went to Italy for a month when he was in high school and absolutely loved it! He wants to take me back there someday even though he hates to travel to the same place twice, he said Italy is the exception. Your pictures make me want to go now!

I wanted to see the bishop address the masses but we were in Naples and didn’t go to the Vatican on a day it happened. I could seriously live in Rome. We went last Christmas and I wrote a ton of posts with all of our pictures about it, took forever, but I will love those pics my entire life!

So glad you have these fantastic memories and photographs to remember your honeymoon! You will certainly treasure these.
