A behind the scenes look at my amazing facial at LASH Jax, which also included a gentle peel for my acne-prone skin.
Two weeks ago I got a signature facial at LASH Jax and I’m happy to share my results with you! I also got a mild peel and I wanted to wait a week or so before writing this post.
I shared my experience with getting my first lash lift and tint at LASH Jax last year, so be sure to check out that post and video if you haven’t already.
About LASH Jax

My Facial Experience at LASH
LASH Signature Facial
I received a Signature Facial + Peel with Madison (@simplylashed_maddie) and I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience!
The LASH Signature Facial is extremely relaxing and customizable. The treatment is for your face, neck, and decolletage. I started by undressing from the waist up and putting on a snug (tube top?) towel robe and laying on the most comfortable, plush table ever.
Madison began my facial by double-cleansing. She removed my moisturizer and prepped my skin for the steam mist and the fruit-based enzymatic cleanser. She followed this up with a vitamin C cleanser (praise hands emoji for the skin brightening powers that be!) This cleansing extended down my neck and decolletage, and she used a sonic silicone brush for a deep clean.
The Signature Peel
After the cleansing came the peel. Madison used the Signature Facelift Peel by Image Skincare. This gentle peel has Vitamin C in an organic aloe vera base, AHA/BHA derived from fruit enzymes, botanical skin brighteners, and hydrating hyaluronic acid. It is on the gentle side and I did not feel any burning.
Right after she applied a stem cell mask, also by Image Skincare. This was super hydrating, and she massaged it into my face. My skin felt immediately plumper.
Immediately After Facial + Peel
I felt so pampered after my facial at LASH Jax! The acne scarring under my chin and jawline was visibly lighter than when I walked in. I regret not taking a before picture because there was a clear difference!
My skin was glowing and visibly hydrated. My lips felt plump from the hydrating balm she applied. After my facial, Madison also made sure to apply SPF 30 sunscreen on my face, neck, and decolletage.
Sunscreen is a must, especially in Florida. She said facials are an investment in your skincare, and if you skip sunscreen, you are wasting your hard-earned dollars and your skin will continue to age prematurely from sun damage. Smart!
I got up feeling like a new woman! I can’t rave enough about my experience!
Two Weeks After Facial + Peel
I waited two weeks to take my after pictures since I didn’t have a strong chemical peel and wanted to give my skin a chance to slowly slough off. I waited a week after my LASH Signature Facial + Peel to start using my Overnight Resurfacing Peel every night, and I can see a clear difference in tone and hyperpigmentation!
The three acne scars on my upper lip (there for almost 4 months) lightened up a lot. The acne scars along my jawline and chin area aren’t as angry-looking anymore, and they have started fading nicely.
Final Thoughts
I really appreciated the conversation I had with Madison before, during, and after my facial at LASH Jax. (You’ll see in the video that we chatted non-stop!)
A Good Esthetician is Invaluable
Madison listened to my concerns, the ingredients I wanted to avoid (parabens, BHT, artificial fragrances, retinol, hydroquinone, and sulfates), and asked me what my goals were. Then, we spoke about what my current skincare routine looked like.
She confirmed that I was doing exactly what I needed to do for my oily, acne-prone skin:
- Wash my face before bed each night (not doing so causes more breakouts)
- I’ve cut out dairy and drastically reduced my refined sugar intake
- Incorporating a hyaluronic acid serum for hydration
- Using sulfur products, and benzoyl peroxide to control my cystic acne
- Wearing minimal makeup, and when I do, I use a light to medium build foundation (I love my Tint Skin foundation!). Heavy, cakey full coverage foundations clog acne-prone skin.
It was such validation hearing from a professional esthetician that I was on the right track with my skincare. I felt like I got a gold star on my homework. (I don’t think I’ll ever stop being a Type-A, haha).
What I Would Have Changed
My only regret was not asking for the dermaplaning service, which is an optional add-on to all of their facials. You also have the option of adding on a microdermabrasion or LED treatment to any LASH facial.
For my next facial, I’m going to ask for a stronger peel since I noticed a huge difference in the appearance of my acne scarring. I feel the difference is more visible in person than on camera.
Would I Return to LASH for Another Facial?
My final takeaway from this experience: professional facials several times a year will help your products work more effectively at home. When you see a professional esthetician, you can get individualized care that can oftentimes rival that of a dermatologist. I’ve seen dermatologists a lot in my life, and have never walked away with a prescription that does what it needs to do.
I loved my facial at LASH, and I plan on going back several times a year for facials. I want my skin to look beautiful without heavy makeup.
