Do you have to plan your fall fashion in warmer climates? This will be the third fall season Brian and I have lived in Florida, and so far each one has been vastly different. Our first fall, 2014, was very cold right off the bat. Fall 2015 and Fall 2016 were each warmer than the one before, with last year never truly reaching winter temperatures until February. All of this has made it a little difficult for me to know what to wear in the state of “endless summer.”
Fall fashion was always a favorite of mine, as it meant you got to wear layers and stylish boots. However, living in Florida means you need to bare a little skin. Not to be sexy, but kinda like how you may stick a leg out from under the covers at night if you’re too hot; you need to bare skin to allow you to cool off. I was excited to finally wear these pieces, since we had weather in the mid-50s and low 60s for a week. As I was taking these pictures, however, the temperature rose to about 80 degrees. Hopefully our weather will cool down soon because I love how comfortable these classic, fall staple pieces are from Tobi.
The Stassie bodycon dress is my favorite, and the mauve color is a perfect neutral to pair with other fall colors. I am wearing a medium and it is definitely snug (I suggest wearing shapewear underneath). I love it with my burgundy wool hat. This dress would look great under a cute moto jacket (like this one and this one). Now I just need a brunch date!

I love love love this lace up sweater! Technically it is a sweater dress, but I would wear it as a sweater due to its length. I have never seen a lace up sweater quite like this. It’s like it was made for those of us who live in Florida! I see myself wearing it a lot this fall and winter, and I love the wine color!

The piece that was trickiest to guess a size for was the black dolphin hem sweater dress. I think it is the perfect piece to throw on when you need to run errands. Slip on some booties and put you hair up in a top bun and you’re out the door. I find that the relaxed fit makes it look a little bigger than it should hang on me, even after checking the sizing chart and correctly selecting a medium. If you’re petite like me, I would size down on this one.
Do you live in a warm climate? How do you dress in the cool-ish months? (P.S. Don’t forget to check out some fall outfit essentials from Amazon!)
