You know when you want to share something with your readers but there’s just so much you’re ashamed of that you put it off for a week? Times twenty? Whoopsies.
Remember when way, way back I asked you all to vote on a set of Minted artwork for our bedroom? Wanna guess which one won?

Ta-da! Option 1!

This was such a hard decision as I could have happily lived with any of the other choices. I was especially torn between options 1, 2 and 4. Since I plan on bringing in color in other areas of the room, I chose to keep the art prints on the muted side.
The sad truth is that they’ve been on my walls for several weeks. Why did I wait so long to reveal my art selection? Because I hated the paint color on the walls…and I wanted to paint the room before I revealed the art prints.
If that’s not reason enough to call me crazy, I don’t know what is. I promise I’m really not a type-A personality, but the beige was really wearing me down. I painted the room in Sherwin Williams’ Agreeable Gray. It’s a chameleon of a color that looks like ivory at dawn and sunset, but gray the rest of the time. I still have more to do to these walls before I feel like I’ve made a dent in this room, but at least now the room has a serene and relaxing feel.

Do you have any ongoing projects in your house?

Love the white theme! It is so classy looking!

Thanks, Rachel! It feels clean and makes me feel at peace. I have a hard time committing to color so white is perfect for me.

It’s so weird to actually see the prints we stared at for so long on your real live wall hahah

Also on that note, they look great! I want that last one
Lisette says
Haha I know you liked that one :)
And yes, it’s weird because we can do so much on Photoshop. But yay for no beige!

Ooh, I love a white bedroom. Looks like the right environment to have pleasant dreams.

Thank you! Oh you have no idea! It’s like I can taste sleep just by looking at the room! There’s just something peaceful about white that is so well suited to a bedroom.

Love those prints, great colors! I can totally relate in the war against beige. Our house is FILLED with beige paint (Dapper Tan to be exact) and I haven’t done a home tour post for that exact reason. You did a great job choosing the paint color!
Lisette says
Thank you! And Dapper Tan? That sounds so blegh that I have to look it up.
Our entire house is beige. Not like a cool beige but a warm, yellowish orange beige that drives me absolutely bananas. It’s like the worst beige ever. Haha. It’s the very same reason I haven’t done a home tour.

OMG Dapper Tan MUST be what’s on our walls. It’s terrible!
