When we moved to Florida, I was surprised to learn just how much flip flops (and dry, cracked feet!) would become a daily part of life. We’ve spent a lot of money on pedicures, but we knew there had to be a more affordable way to have soft feet without draining our wallets. Today, I’m sharing with you how to have affordable pedicures with Amopé Pedi Perfect right in the comfort of your own home.
Self-care is important, but it doesn’t have to be expensive. As someone who would rather put their hard-earned money towards bills rather than the expensive nail salon, the Amopé Pedi Perfect Foot File is perfect for me! I used it for the first time last month and I was honestly shocked at how quickly and effortlessly the diamond crystals buffed away calluses and dry skin.
You can find the Amopé products at Target in the foot care aisle, including replacement heads for the rotating pumice stone. The pink, original Amopé Pedi Perfect Extra Coarse Electronic Foot File is the foot file with diamond crystals for a smooth finish (save $10 with this coupon now through 12/15/17). It makes the perfect gift for the beauty lover on your holiday shopping list. Its affordable price point also allows you to pair it with other pedicure essentials.
I chose to purchase the Amopé Pedi Perfect Wet & Dry Rechargeable Foot File since I can never remember to buy batteries. I love that it is waterproof, which makes it safe to use in the shower or bathtub. I can also use it on wet or dry skin (the pink extra coarse Pedi Perfect is great for use on dry skin). It does take 3 hours to charge, but the charge lasts 20 minutes, which is more than enough time for my pedicure. Save $15 with this coupon now through 12/15/17!
In case you find giving yourself pedicures overwhelming, I made a quick and easy tutorial on how to give yourself affordable pedicures with Amopé Pedi Perfect. You will seldom ever step foot in a nail salon ever again.

Spas and water go together like cheese and wine. (Which I also think pair nicely with a home spa night). This is a perfect time to use bath salts and relax with aromatherapy. If you prefer showers (or are water-conscious), you can always opt to have a large bowl of warm water to soak your feet in instead.
Scrub and Trim Nails
Whether you prefer using a nail clipper or a nail file, be sure to trim your nails straight across to prevent ingrown nails. Using the thin, blunt tip of the clipper’s file, clear the underside the nails paying attention to the corners. Then, using a small foot brush, slough away dead skin cells in your nail beds and scrub all around your toes.
Here’s where your Amopé Pedi Perfect comes in to play! Turn on the Amopé foot file and apply gentle pressure to the rough skin on your feet. For me, this is always on the outside of my big toes and the very edges of my heels. Don’t press down too hard or this will stop the head from rotating. I personally love this feature since it prevents you from filing too harshly.
While this step is optional, I always received a foot mask when I get the “deluxe” pedicure at the nail salon. It’s usually in the form of paraffin wax, but you can find many foot masks online.
After buffing your calluses and using a foot mask, it’s important to moisturize that newly revealed, fresh skin. Use your favorite foot lotion or even coconut oil.
I love nude polishes, even on my toes. It goes with everything. If you live in warmer climates like Florida, open-toed shoes are the norm.
And you’re done!
