Caramelized Balsamic Onions

  • 3/4 cup red onion chopped
  • 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 tbsp sugar


  1. Heat skillet on medium-high heat.
  2. Add the chopped onions.
  3. Add half of the water and balsamic vinegar in equal quantities as it evaporates (but don't let the onions burn!)
  4. Add in the sugar and cook for 15-20 minutes.
