Picture it now: the sun on your face, kissing your bronzed skin. Your toes enjoying the coolness under the surface of the powdery white sand. The warm, ocean breeze enhanced by the scent of your fragrant piña colada. The soft lapping of the gentle Caribbean coastline lulling you to sleep. And the best part of this paradise? Not a single screaming kid at the Riu Republica hotel. (Parents, I’m sure you can relate.)
Punta Cana is a vacation hotspot for people from all over the world. Known for its stretches of white sandy beaches, golf resorts and vast array of all-inclusive resorts, Punta Cana is often referred to as the Coconut Coast. I am fortunate enough to have vacationed in Punta Cana a few times in my life, and the resorts are breath-taking. I’ve met people from South America, the U.S. and Europe, and I’ve had the chance to practice my French and German. Every Punta Cana vacation has been amazing with one exception: we’ve never had the luxury of enjoying a quiet time at the pool or sea.
The Hotel Riu Republica has over 1,000 rooms with all the amenities needed to enjoy your vacation in maximum comfort. The hotel itself has two enormous pools equipped with swim-up bars, large solarium terraces, a gym, a steam room and a jacuzzi!
Brian and I have stayed at Riu hotels at Puerto Plata, a secret gem of a getaway in the Dominican Republic, but the Hotel Riu Republica at Punta Cana is different. What makes this resort unique is that it is an adults-only (18+) beach-front hotel with all-inclusive amenities. All-inclusive means that all your meals and drinks are included, along with wifi! Once you experience the luxury of an all-inclusive hotel, will never want to stay at an ordinary hotel again.
Riu Republica has tons of free activities (normally a la carte expeditions at other resorts) such as windsurfing, kayaking, snorkeling among others. There are three beachfront pools, including a quiet pool, and a party pool with energetic music and foam parties. There are also two swim-up bars! Brian especially loves the pool lounge chairs that are inside the pool (pictured below). They allow you to work on your tan while cooling off in the pool at the same time. Genius! This November, they will be opening a water park called Splash Water World…and it’s also adults-only! I’ve never heard of a hotel having its own water park. This is very enticing!
The times I have visited Punta Cana have always involved friends or extended family in larger groups. Enjoying drinks in the pool swim up bar is more fun with friends, and the atmosphere is more relaxed when it is adults-only. The last time we went to Punta Cana, we had a local agency arrange our transportation to and from the hotel, and it was such a relief not to have to plan this yourself.
However, I feel more comfortable working with a well-known company like Apple Vacations, who happens to be the #1 tour operator in the world to the Dominican Republic. Planning vacations with groups is a breeze with Apple Vacations. Their all-inclusive packages include round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations, round-trip airport transportation. Apple Vacations makes planning your tropical getaway easy!
That’s why I’m excited to tell you that Apple Vacations is giving away a trip to one lucky winner to the exclusive adults-only Riu Republica! The winner can also take 5 friends (18+) with them!
Enter the sweepstakes by signing up on the Travel With Your Squad page and then tag #TravelWithYourSquad to encourage your friends to enter, too. Remember, they will be bringing YOU if they win!
Tell me, what would you look forward to the most at this luxurious adults-only hotel in Punta Cana?
