It’s been a long, long time since I’ve compiled a list of things I’m loving lately in a post. Recently I’ve noticed that I see things I like on TV, window shopping or online and then forget about them. I tend to screenshot something, then forget where I saw it, and inevitably end up deleting said screenshot. It’s probably for the better, as both Brian and our bank account probably are happy that I’m so forgetful, but I want to document things a little better. Who knows, maybe you have better alternatives for me?
Luxe Outdoor Pillows
Indecision is my middle name. Just when I thought I was okay with the outdoor pillows I purchased for our lanai, I see these drop-dead gorgeous pillows at Williams-Sonoma. My favorite are the ikat ones, but I’ll take one in every print, please and thank you.
We know how much I love blue, given our bookshelves, and these would look great in the outdoor area. I am still figuring out how to decorate that area, but hopefully next year I’ll have blue hydrangeas and blue Siberian irises flanking the lanai and it will be heaven!
Rent the Runway
Am I the only one that thinks guys are lucky in the sense that they could literally wear the same suit or tux to every event and no one would bat an eye, whereas us women can’t repeat a dress?
I recently learned about Rent the Runway, a service that lets your rent designer dresses at a fraction of the price. They also throw in a second size of the dress for free, just in case the first one isn’t a perfect fit, and the cost of the rental includes dry cleaning and shipping back to their warehouse.
I’m thinking of using them for an upcoming wedding we’re going to, and I’m in love with this red lace body con. For a limited time, you can get $30 off your first order.
I’m sure by now everyone’s heard of Pokemon Go. I don’t play Pokemon Go, although I did watch the cartoon series as a tween. However, a friend showed me a Snapchat video of a guy who catches a real live “Pug-achu,” and I couldn’t stop laughing. It’s both adorable and hilarious!
And it got me thinking…it’s been a while since I’ve put on any clothes on either Chip or Daisy. Maybe there’ll be Pikachu dog costumes here in the near future?
You don’t know the value of quality bedsheets until you realized you’ve been living without them your whole life. I’ve had some crappy 800 thread count bedsheets, and I’ve had some amazing 300 thread count to 400 thread count bedsheets, so it’s confusing why some are softer than others. On a whim I purchased a 400 thread count sheet set by the Threshold line from Target, as I keep washing the same set every week because our “quality” 600 thread count sheets pilled up. I am now washing these Target bedsheets every week because I love them that much. They’re on sale, so if you want to give them a try, now’s the time!
