I’ve watched an embarrassing amount of back to back Dr. Who episodes. I blame (and thank) Nadine for this. Here’s a list of shows she recommends.
I’ve had zero desire to blog lately. I think I can hear a chorus of amens coming from a lot of bloggers, amiright? When can summer be over and my brain rot end?
Every time I think I have a brilliant idea for redecorating, I have to remind myself that a) our bank account only allows for so much at one time and b) I’m am extremely fickle and change my mind after I spend money on decorations. Case in point: I can’t commit to color.
My husband was away on business a few weeks back and I got the bright idea to decorate our living room in teal/aqua accents. He wasn’t the least bit able to hide his disdain for my
failure choice in decorating, and now I hate them, at least for our living room. They’ve since been transferred to the guest bedroom (DSLR, dog toys and dog blanket not included).
I find myself finding things in antique white, tan and brown to replace them with. Will our house ever have color and not be plain vanilla?
However, he did approve of this gorgeous little demi-lune table at Kirkland’s that I’ve placed in our entry way as a catch-all for our keys and dog leashes. Gotta love drawers to hide all that crap. (Kirkland’s if you’re reading this, I would love you forever if you gave me a shopping spree!) And, now I realize that I totally missed that upholstered bench behind it in the store. Husband: I forsee another shopping trip in the near future!
Chip has become a gecko hunter. And he will creepily stare and stare and stare until he’s set free to hunt geckos. I think the gecko population has taken a severe blow ’round these parts. Look at that determination.
That’s all I have today, folks. Brain rot is really getting to me. As soon as it starts cooling down here in the South I’ll have more.
Over and out.
