This is all I have to show for my weekend. That and hours of coding and design. I’m actually quite proud of this room. It took almost 3 coats of paint to cover up the ugliness of these tan walls.
If you thought that was ugly then, wait for the Oscar the Grouch- and the Cookie Monster-themed paint colors beneath that nasty wall. In 3…2…1…
Who the eff word thinks those colors are acceptable in a sunny room? Apparently the renters before last thought primary colors were cool. Vomit. And the renters after them were lazy eff words and never took the outlet covers off to paint. I mean, who does that? I ended up also buying new wall plates because the ones in here had that nasty tan color, and I for sure wasn’t about to have a nasty reminder of that paint color.
I needed to vent about this. Thanks for indulging me :)
Can I also tell you that I’m about as excited as a little 80s girl about to get her new My Little Pony. You know, the kind where you could comb their tails? And this is the reason why:
Sometime tomorrow, I will be the proud owner of a shiny new MacBook Pro with a Retina screen. I’ve only been wanting a MacBook since 2010. Now that I won’t have a dinosaur of a laptop that doesn’t slow down when I view any webpage with ads (which limits me to the Apple website….and now it comes full circle as to why I wanted this so bad), and it won’t completely freeze up when I edit photos in LightRoom. I still have pictures from December that I haven’t been able to process.
This means more pictures on the blog, more freebies, and much much more in terms of blog design coming your way! I also won’t have to rely on Google Chat to talk to some bloggy friends of mine! So excited!
In other news, I’ve officially lost my mind. I keep adding more and more things to my home shopping list, including DIY projects. My husband thinks I’m nuts.
I say I have The Itch.
The itch to buy all the things. Specifically, all things from Ballard Designs. And I can blame one shopaholic mother-in-law for leaving an oh-so-wonderful catalogue. And because The Itch is the gift that keeps on giving (really bad joke, I know) I made a Pinterest board to entice you with luxurious home furnishings that will probably get me disowned by my husband if I suggest purchasing any.
What do you have the itch for?
