Yes, I’m alive. Busy but alive, and oh so thankful. Here’s what I’ve been blessed with working on lately.
Can you tell I’m in love with peonies? Peonies are a timeless species of flowers and their full blooms charm even the most frozen of hearts. I kept my design simple and airy, with only a nod to the Radiant Orchid in my newsletter sign-up. It’s easily my favorite personal design yet. I also incorporated the leaderboard ad (not pictured) in its own pink widget. It was the only solution to an otherwise eyesore situation. I think it blends seamlessly into this simple and clean design.
The lovely lady Amanda, the voice behind The Laurel Gazette, dons another clean look. Her requests were simple, black, white and a touch of green.
It was also my first dabble in watercolor design. As in, hand-drawn watercolor, cleaned up in Photoshop and coded into her design. I’m not gonna lie, it was many MANY hours of work but oh-so-worth it! The Laurel Gazette was also a Blogger to WordPress transfer, so go welcome her to WordPress!
Krystal’s Kitsch was another successful blog design AND Blogger to WordPress migration. Her design features semi-translucent navigation bars, and like my own design, a dedicated area for the leaderboard ad.
Last but not least, Shell & Chinoiserie. Emilie has a keen eye for design, and after all, hers is an interior design blog! Comprised of soft pinks, gold and navy blue, her design palette was romantic and clean. We incorporated a a pink “rope” into her navigation bar to tie in the seaside aspect to her native New England. Hers is the only design on the Blogger platform in this group. Don’t you just love it?
